Each month we’ll be putting the spotlight on an Artist from the Oldham Artist’s Network. This month we’re celebrating EvaD Ould-Okojie.

📣EvaD Ould-Okojie
🎉EvaD (pronounced A-va-D) and also known as Soleil Dee, is a Manchester-based textile artist who creates vibrant handmade works using African fabrics, including ankara and batiks. Inspired by her Nigerian and British heritage and her love of all things bright and bold, her work explores themes of identity, belonging and cultural connection through contemporary textiles. In 2024, she presented her debut solo exhibition, Melting Pot here at Gallery Oldham, showcasing a colourful collection of textile pieces celebrating the richness of her dual heritage.
