Get ready for Smashing Lads – a proper Northern post-punk band from Saddleworth!

Known for their raw, melodic sound and sharp-witted takes on everyday Northern life, they’ve built a reputation with tracks like DIY - F**k It, Under 13’s Sunday League Violence and the anthem Down’t Pub.

After releasing their debut album in 2018, the band took a five-year break, but they’re back and louder than ever with their latest single, Yeah, Dance – a hard-hitting, politically charged track taking aim at corruption, deception and cronyism.

Fresh from a sold-out debut EP launch and with appearances at Brit Fest, Kendal Calling and Green Island Festival, Naomi is quickly becoming one of the North West’s most exciting emerging artists.

Absolutely fantastic Whit Friday in Lees. It was great to see so many people coming together and enjoying such a wonderful community event. Thank you to everyone who called in for a drink at Society by Whittles

Unfortunately, one customer reported that their bag went missing while visiting the venue. We have since been informed that attempts were made to use bank cards from the bag at a local store.

CCTV footage from both Society by Whittles and the store has been provided to the police, who are now dealing with the matter. We will not tolerate theft or any criminal behaviour on our premises and will continue to support the authorities with their enquiries.

Thank you to everyone for your support and cooperation.
