Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well!
Exams may be over but we're still sticking around! Our next fire session is THIS THURSDAY from 19:00 at the King's Pitches! As always, feel free to come along, bring friends, and have a good time.

Those of you who want to use fire gear, remember to wear appropriate clothing. This means no synthetic materials like nylon, polyester, etc. Materials like denim, cotton, and leather tend to be the best for this.

P.S. We are still needing a student committee to take over for the next academic year. We have a couple of volunteers already but we need at least one more! Without a student committee we will unfortunately no longer be able to continue as a society. Circus is a fairly easy society to run and you will have help from us while doing so. (psst, it also looks good on your CV) So if you're a student and you're interested in keeping things going, please get in touch!

Hey guys! End of the academic year is looming, and that means we need to choose a new committee to lead the Circus Society for the next academic year!
There are 3 positions available that all need to be filled by students for the society to qualify for re-affiliation with AUSA: President, Treasurer, and Secretary.


President: In charge of re-affiliation, checking emails, room bookings, events, etc.
Treasurer: In charge of the financial side of things. Responsibilities include handling the society bank account, equipment purchases, grant applications, and paying performers when the society is hired for an event.
Secretary: Responsible for paperwork alongside the President. Also responsible for writing minutes, checking emails, communicating with other societies (for collaborations, events, etc)

If you are interested in keeping the society going (and you're a student) please let us know what position you would like. Sarah and I will be around to help you get a handle on things so you won't be left alone to handle everything. Again, these committee positions NEED to be filled by students for the society to continue existing past June. Help us keep this going and even grow the society in the new year!

Hey guys! Hope you're enjoying the holidays (and for those of you with exams soon, hope your studies are going well)! Next fire session is coming up next week! Thursday 16/04/26, 19:00 at the King's Pitches. Come along, bring your friends! Whether you want to use fire or not, it'll be a good chance to relax and take a break from exam prep!

As usual, be sure to wear safe clothing if you want to use fire. Avoid synthetic materials as they tend to melt or burn easily. Cotton, denim, leather or similar materials are ideal for fire.

Hi guys!!

Bit of a late post today, just to announce that with the new month Butchart has switched over to the winter training times. Our new training times are on Tuesdays from 19:00 to 20:00! It'll be normal training sessions for the time being, looking to prepare for a showcase in the new year!

We are still hoping to run one more fire session in December before the new year, so keep an eye out for news on that.

Come along, have a good time, we'll see you there!
