The entire theatre/arts community is saddened to learn of the recent passing of a stalwart of Liz’s dedication and experience. Our thoughts and condolences together with the love of the entire community go to Liz’s heartbroken family, friends and those of the Phoenix Theatre & Phoenix Youth Theatre family at this sad time. RIP Liz Milne ⭐️ ❤️

⭐️ Opportunity to join Production Team ⭐️

Aberdeen Gang Show are looking to bring on board an Assistant Musical Director to work with an experienced production team to plan, rehearse and perform a musical variety performance at Aberdeen Arts Centre in March 2024. We are hoping for an enthusiastic musical person to assist the established MD with several activities including: teaching songs, creating digital rehearsal tracks, playing in the band, amongst others.

We think this is an excellent opportunity for a first taste of working as part of a show’s production, but would love to hear from anyone that would be interested in joining the Gang!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Gang Show, it’s a music and comedy variety performance put on by the Scout Association, with a cast mostly made up of young people from the movement (ages 9-17) and supported on stage by adults who tend to grow up through the ranks and never want to leave.

We are SO proud to announce that this is the first time in 102 years that Aberdeen Student Show has ever raised this amount of money! ⭐️

We would like to say the BIGGEST thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. Whether that be through attending our fundraisers, coming to see the show or generously donating to us, we really are so grateful for all of your help and this simply wouldn’t be possible without you! ❤️

Every penny of this amazing amount of money will be distributed to an also record-breaking 50 incredible charities all over Aberdeen and will help countless people across the North East! 🥳

Break a leg to abdy involved in this year’s Aberdeen Student Show at His Majesty's Theatre this week!

💙A NOTE FROM OUR ADMINISTRATOR 💙

After months and months of preparations, 4 weeks of intense rehearsals, and lots of coffee and biscuits, it’s finally opening night! 🤩

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved. We simply could not have done this without you! 💙

Being admin has meant so much to me in my final student show and I am so grateful to be standing on stage with such a talented group of people 🥹

Our stage is set, the cast is ready to set sail, now we just need our fabulous audience! 🛳️
