Taryn Studios is proud to announce the release of ‘Seasons’, the new album by Lydford’s Daughter. In 14 songs, through local legends and the natural cycle, it celebrates the passing of a year on Dartmoor.

Seasons includes the setting of two traditional tales - Widecombe Fair, which focusses on the real story, the characters and village of Sticklepath, and Lady Howard's Hound, a ghost story based on a 17th Century poem.

Wolf Moon was inspired by John Lewis-Stempel's beautiful book Night Life, and Three Hares covers the mystery of this powerful symbol found all over the moor, evocatively described in the poems of Eleanor Ludgate.

Once again, all proceeds go to help maintain the astonishing place where we all work - Lydford Gorge. Thank you so much for supporting us - we hope you enjoy it!

As well as working with Lydford’s Daughter, over the last few months lead singer Elowen Rye has been recording a solo album of her own music. In ‘Elowen Rye - Herself’, she lays bare her heart in a raw journey of love and loss, an Elowen as you’ve never heard her before.

Following the tradition of recording ‘Unplugged’ albums, this is definitely a 'plugged-in' project, dubbed by the production team here at Taryn Studios as ‘Elowen - Unhinged’! You have been warned!

As this is a side project, we’ve decided to make it FREE for her fans to download or stream from Bandcamp NOW, and on your favourite streaming platform from 21st November.
And don't worry - Elowen will be back working with Lydford's Daughter on their new album, pencilled in for a Spring release!

And for all of Lydford’s Daughter’s loyal fans, we’re also delighted to announce that Diving Through Mirrors is now available on your favourite streaming platform!

We’re proud to report that in just three months, sales of the CD in the bookshop and downloads from Bandcamp have generated close to £500 for Lydford Gorge. Thank you SO MUCH from all of us!
