Have you seen our wonderful collection of handmade items for sale at Rutland County Museum? They're all created by talented, local, independent makers!

Diane Lynch is one of these makers whose work is currently available in the museum shop.

Using flat pieces of glass and kiln firings of up to 800°C, Diane creates beautiful, vibrant fused glass artwork. Every piece is completely unique and the excitement of seeing each new creation emerge from the kiln is what keeps her creating. In Diane's own words, "I find it so addictive!"

Here we are all set up at Oakham Castle today. It's an absolutely gorgeous day and a beautiful setting.

Hello lovely people! These events are where I am going to be in the next few weeks.

This Saturday 23rd May, I'm at Oakham Castle for the Dementia Fair.

On the first Saturday of the month I'm also going to be on Gaol Street in Oakham as part of the Artisan Craft Market. The next one is the 6th June and hopefully we'll see you there!

I love a gorgeous reflection! These cuties came out of the kiln a couple of days ago then found a beautiful patch of morning light.

I'm showing them off at Edith Weston Village Hall tomorrow as part of their Christmas Fayre.

It's only a week until our next event. The Christmas trees have been brought inside (from their first firing in the kiln) and will be decorated this week, in time for our trip to Edith Weston village hall on Saturday 29th November. We can't wait!
