PATTERN TESTERS WANTED

I'm very excited to finally share a little glimpse of the Sasille Dress, my newest dress pattern!

Sasille is a relaxed, Greek-goddess-inspired dress with a V-neck, bust darts, a fully lined bodice, concealed side pockets and long braided straps which can be tied and wrapped in different ways.

I'm now looking for a small group of experienced sewists to help me test the pattern before launch.

I'm particularly looking for testers who:

✂️ Have experience sewing from PDF patterns, ideally with previous pattern-testing experience
✂️ Can commit to completing the test between 25 August and 11 September
✂️ Are confident sewing independently
✂️ Are happy to give honest, constructive feedback on fit, construction and instructions
✂️ UK sizes 8-24 welcome

Sasille is a Confident Beginner–Intermediate pattern and involves sewing and making long straps, understitching and sewing a narrow hem.

It's designed for woven, non-stretch fabrics with soft drape, such as linen and linen blends, viscose linen, rayon challis and lightweight crepe.

A toile is absolutely fine — you don't need to make a finished garment. What matters most is your time, experience and willingness to give detailed feedback. ♡

Applications close Sunday 23 August.

I've done a blog post on my website (I'll link in my stories) with the full details of the evolution of my sewing studio. I've had this setup like this for a while, and wanted to test it before settling on the layout, but I can confirm it's working a treat! I can honestly say that getting a dedicated cutting table (mine is A0) has been the biggest game changer, along with having my work desk not facing the wall (a Feng Shui principle).

Anyway, I hope you like seeing the changes. It's only a small room, but it's got everything I need for working, designing and sewing 🧵

This Stargazer Wearable Quilt was made by one of my pattern testers , and I had the pleasure of photographing it in use.

From a blanket on the ground to something to wrap around your shoulders, and to wear. We headed to Rutland water to capture the Quilt being used and loved.

It’s always special to see a pattern come to life like this.

Helen used a combination of dress fabrics and cottons, and I love the darker floral pattern in the patchwork.

This Stargazer was made as a commission for festival season, using a pre-quilted puffer fabric.

It’s quite different from my usual patchwork versions, but I love how adaptable the pattern can be depending on the fabric.

The pattern is available on my website and Etsy.
