The mastermind behind many of the gangs' schemes, as well as their amateur cook, Friar Tuck is a gentle, caring man of the clothes, but the Sheriff's wickedness has left him with no choice but to become an outlaw.

David Parker has been a member of RATAE since he was smaller than Little John, acting in such varied plays as "Sweeney Todd" and "Living Together" as well as often turning his hand to directing. His proudest accomplishment however, was writing the original, award-winning pantomime "Return of the Ring" in 2012.

Much the Miller's son is scrappy, tough and good with a sword, though still rather young for his age, and can't understand why Robin would ever want to kiss Marian!

Katie Tunnicliffe is one if RATAE's best and brightest panto stars, having lent her talents for three years running; as well as playing The Grand Priestess in "Inspector Drake and the Time Machine."

Hear ye, hear ye! Want to spend your Christmas money but can't be bothered to leave the house? Then why not order tickets for our panto at www.rataeplayers.co.uk ?

Alanna Dale is a minstrel, an old-timey entertainer who tells tales, sings songs and dispenses witty repartee. She'd prefer to be in a more glamorous setting but can't bring herself to leave the old home town.

Charlotte Parker has acted since she could walk; appearing with the Little Theatre, Curve Young Company and Wigston Operatic as well as playing such roles as Cinderella here at RATAE. After a few years gap, we're happy to have her back!

Merry Christmas everyone! As a present this year, why not treat yourself to a ticket our February pantomime at www.rataeplayers.co.uk!

Slice and Dice are the Sheriff's loyal (well, he pays them) and not too bright henchmen, usually seen around Nottingham shaking up citizens for taxes or chasing outlaws and getting comically injured in the process!

Ellana Bishop made her RATAE debut in "Aladdin" two years ago and has appeared in every panto since, as well as the wacky comedy "Inspector Drake and the Time Machine" and our VE Day special this year.

Natalie Tebbutt is a RATAE first-timer, but she has experience with a number of other groups, including Crooked Hand, Shambles Performing Arts, and notably as one of the Weird Sisters in the Little Theatre's 2025 production of "Macbeth."

The Sheriff of Nottingham is a cold-hearted, unscrupulous landlord who desires nothing more than to squeeze taxes from the local people - unless its to marry the beautiful Lady Marian - something which Robin Hood is determined to stop!

David Stevens has been with RATAE for ten years; playing heroes, villains and Dames in our seasonal pantomime as well as appearing in various thrillers, notable as the mysterious Teddy Deakin in "The Ghost Train" (his favourite role). He also wrote and directed our autumn 2023 production "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde!"

"With an empty head, but he looks great in red, Will Scarlet!"

Will is one of Robin Hood's most loyal followers, though he's none too bright. Like his boss, he's something of a hopeless romantic, but might he find love in a most unexpected place?

Roody Holroyd made his RATAE debut in "Exit the King", and, after a few years break, returned in such roles as Ping the Camel Herder in "Aladdin", forensic scientist Jack in "Inspector Drake and the Time Machine" and most recently the amoral Anthony Marston in "And Then There Were None", where he met a very sticky end!

"Such a lot of people in a young lady's chamber.... and you didn't invite me!"

Nurse Knightly is Marian's only friend, she's seen in all and probably done it all! A true romantic, she hopes to end the evening with a date from the Prince... or a lucky man in the audience!

Zara Daisy is a RATAE panto veteran, having first played Queen Rat in "Dick Whittington." She also explored her dramatic side in "Time, Murderer Please."

"The prize, a kiss from the beautiful Lady Marian of Sherwood!"

Marian is Robin Hood's childhood sweetheart, and she still thinks of him despite him having been away fighting in the Crusades. She might see like a dainty proper lady, but she's more than able to handle herself in a fight!

Gemma Florence Wright is making her RATAE pantomime debut with Robin Hood, having previously appeared in our autumn productions of "The Ghost Train" and "And Then There Were None." She also trod the boards at The Little Theatre this year in "Lizzie, Darcy and Jane."
