RJ Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts. The RJ Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts is an established and highly respected provider of singing , acting and musical theatre education.

Providing first class teaching in both 1-2-1 and group sessions and specialising in audition technique. The RJ Academy was established in 2010 by singer, actress and TV Presenter Rebecca Gage. It began with just 2 pupils and in a very short space of time, Rebecca's teaching reputation grew, enabling the school to grow. Now, RJ has its own studios, based in Attleborough, Nuneaton and is a fantasti

c choice for singing and acting training.

We offer 1-2-1 training in Singing, Musical Theatre and Acting , and the option of examinations through LCM and LAMDA . We also offer group classes. We have a wide range of performance opportunities for students, including performing in Londons West End.

We pride ourselves on our audition preparation teaching, for those who wish to attend further education within the performing arts , such as stage schools and dance colleges. Many of our graduates have gone on to gain places in some of the countries top stage schools.

As well as teaching within our own school, RJ Academy often branches out into the public sector , teaching within schools and colleges to direct plays and workshops.

Our ethos is to work in partnership with our students and their parents / carers, to nurture and guide every student to reach their full potential.

We aim to provide high quality training in all aspects of our school. We invest a great deal of interest in every students personal development, placing equal importance on encouraging confidence and self belief as well as skills and technique. It is this safe and friendly environment coupled with the disciplined, informative training and the inspiring enthusiasm of our staff and pupils that is the key to our success.

And just like that… we’re almost back! 🎭🎤

In just TWO SLEEPS, the doors to RJ Academy will be open again and we honestly cannot wait to welcome everyone back for another year of singing, acting, performing, confidence building and LOTS of RJ magic! ✨

We hope you’ve all had the BEST summer and are ready to get stuck into a brand new term.

And just like that the door closes on another Academic year! We’ve had the most amazing year with our London and big show, fantastic exam sessions and medal tests, I know I can speak for Abby when I say we have loved every second and couldn’t be more grateful for our beautiful students who keep us going and fill our nights with such joy and laughter!

A whole week since our Jen’s last mini superstars class 🥹 Jen has been working as an assistant for 4 (we think!) years helping the children, and teachers 😂 grow in confidence and put on some magical numbers in shows big and small! She always made sure to learn about every child and support them in lessons, side stage and at rehearsals even when rushing around during her own quick changes! Jen ♡ we will miss you so much but I’m holding you to your promise to come back for the Christmas show!!

Please join me in wishing our gorgeous Aimee the best maternity leave ! We know she will make an amazing mum to her little boy and we can’t wait to meet him! Full circle moment as Aimee first came on board just over 4 years ago as my Mat cover and we haven’t let her go since as she is just such a light 💡 and we love her so much! Her students will be in th safe hands of the wonderful Jessica Mayne until she returns in January Aimee Breadon we will miss you so much … good luck 💙

Today was my last teaching day of the academic year ! I have really enjoyed my lessons this year . Working on big show and London show is always fun and then I always teach our audition prep students and watching them strive to achieve there dream schools is always a pleasure . Training students to diploma exams has been another highlight for me but what I have really enjoyed this year is adding a couple of younger and little ones to my 1-2-1 timetable - over recent years I have mainly been focussing on older students but it has been very refreshing to go back to basics and work on watching those foundations form in lessons - face expressions , diction , timing and keeping that imagination flowing and has also reminded me of some teaching tools and exercises that I had forgotten about and have even been able to reintroduce them to my older students again ! I’m really excited for a little rest now before onto another wonderful year at RJ with some more new faces to my timetable !

Well yesterday we said goodbye to our wonderful teacher Ellie! After 4,5 years of teaching for us she is moving on - she lives over an hour away now and the drive was becoming too much.
We have been so lucky to have Ellie over these years , her enthusiasm, energy and passion have been an asset to the school - she is well loved by all her students and families and of course us as a faculty . We will miss her so much . Thank you Ellie for your commitment and dedication, excellent exam results , great lesson planning ideas and the different elements you have brought such as star combat and clowning and introducing screen acting to the school! We wish you well and look forwards to welcoming you back in a few weeks for holiday clubs ###xx Ellie Bryan

This week I said good bye to the wonderful Jen 😢. Jen has been a huge part of the RJ family since she began her lessons 11 years ago at age 7. Throughout her time at the academy she has achieved distinction for all of examinations in both musical theatre and drama and most recently gained her diploma ✅👏👏👏 Jen has taken part in so many of our shows and performances and always takes on more than just a performance role- she always assists and helps with our younger ones making sure everything moves and runs perfectly on the day putting the show above her own performances . Jen is also our mini superstars assistant and the kids just love her so much! Jen has a beautiful voice she is affectionately called the songbird and often moves audience members to tears - as well as being able to belt out a ballad or two Jen is a fantastic character performer always pushing big characters forward and bringing them to life . What I love about Jen is her ability to really lean into the narrative of any peice and drive that forward weather it be a sad message or a performative song . I love my lessons with Jen - we always have a good chat so much so that we have an hour lesson !! We have shared so many happy memories together and moments to last a life time and I am forever greatful that you came to RJ and that hour wonderful mum has helped so much with chaperoning and wardrobe dept over th years ! I know that you will go on to do great things Jen - good luck at SOTE and reach for the stars that you so greatly deserve! We will all miss you 😢
