⭐️ Oiling Out Your Painting! ⭐️
Any questions fire away 🔥
Sometimes, as oil paint dries it can fade a little and lose its depth. One solution for this is to Oil Out the surface to bring back the colour and saturation.
I use 3 - in - 1 for this. You can apply it with a clean cloth or brush and you don't need much. Be very sparing with it and obviously make sure the paint is touch dry first! (Especially any white areas)
This can be done half through the painting and you can continue working over the top of it. It actually makes it feel like you're working into fresh paint again...I needed that for painting in the reflections on the window after I did this.
This isn't a varnish but can be used a temporary solution and can be varnished over when the painting is fully dry.
I hope this helps!
