A very normal concern — especially when tiny hands seem to find absolutely everything.

One reason I love a simple, low-profile first earring is that there’s less for little fingers, clothing and towels to catch on.

After piercing, good aftercare doesn’t mean constantly touching, turning or fiddling with the earrings. In fact, keeping unnecessary handling to a minimum is an important part of looking after those new piercings.

Simple can be beautiful — and for tiny ears, sometimes it’s exactly what we want. ✨

Probably the biggest worry parents have before their child’s ear-piercing appointment.

I’ll never promise a child that they won’t feel anything. What I can do is make the experience calm, predictable and never rushed.

Children cope much better when they know what’s happening, feel safe and aren’t pressured to be “brave”.

Sometimes the biggest part of children’s piercing isn’t the piercing at all — it’s building enough trust to get there. 🤍

And then we get to the exciting part… choosing those first tiny earrings. ✨

It’s one of the questions parents ask me most — and age is only part of the answer.

With little ears, I also look carefully at the size, shape and development of the earlobe before deciding whether I’m happy to pierce. If I don’t think the ear is ready, I would rather ask you to wait.

Because the goal isn’t simply to get the earrings in. It’s to give them the best possible placement for those growing little ears. 🤍
