Fantastic News and congrats to Pentabus Theatre 🄰

We are thrilled that MAKE GOOD: The Post Office Scandal has been nominated for a National Rural Touring Forum Connection Award! We were honoured to play a part in it's production as a partner, and are fortunate to experience first hand the power of gathering to share stories. This production took the crucial and important stories of those affected by the Horizon scandal into community spaces across the country; sparking conversations and bringing people together. šŸ’–

We’re absolutely delighted to share that we have been nominated for the for the NRTF Connection Award 2026 for Make Good: The Post Office Scandal.

This show took the stories of those affected by the Horizon scandal into village halls and community spaces across the country, Make Good sparked conversations, brought people together, and reminded us of the power of gathering to share stories.

We couldn't be prouder of Elle, the company, our partners at New Perspectives, and all the audiences, promoters and community choirs who helped make this journey so special.

Congratulations to all the nominees. We can't wait to celebrate with the rural touring community in 2026.

āœØļøIntroducing New Associates 2026/27: Esther Warren

Esther Warren is a multi-disciplinary, Nottingham based theatre maker.

Following graduating in 2016 with a BA in Acting from Bath Spa University, she has amassed a decade’s experience performing, directing, designing and writing for the Fringe theatre scenes of the South West and East Midlands. Her first solo writing credit: They Said My Masculinity Was Toxic But What Doesn’t Kill You Makes Your Stronger was showcased at the Nottingham Playhouse in January 2026 ahead of a planned Autumn tour.

As a trans woman in a time of political repression, she seeks to develop works that speak directly to marginalised audiences. If something’s worth existing, you owe it to the world to start building it.

"This coming year is set to be an exciting one, I could not be more thankful to New Perspectives for providing this opportunity now. I’m looking forward to learning a lot from both their team and my fellow Associates!"

āœØļøIntroducing New Associates 2026/27: Rehannah Mian -storybook

After two decades as a BBC journalist and factual television producer, Rehannah now writes for the stage, creating character-driven monologues and scripts rooted in real lives and unheard voices. Her work is shaped by her lifetime experience working across diverse communities — from elderly care, to supporting young people excluded from mainstream education — and questions what drives us, even in our most fragile moments.

She developed her debut script with Fifth Word Theatre, exploring oppression and resistance in a group of medieval activist women.

A children’s author, podcaster and member of Nottingham’s GOBS Collective, she has performed spoken word in venues around Nottingham, including Nottingham Playhouse. Her writing moves between the personal and the political, turning her lived experience into emotionally direct, and socially challenging storytelling.

Her teenage years on Clifton Estate in Nottingham, where few doors were open, continue to shape her writing - giving a voice to the overlooked.

"In an industry where doors are often closed, I’m grateful this one has opened. I’m proud to join New Perspectives as an Associate and I’m excited to develop work rooted in real lives and centred around voices too often overlooked".
