Our next production is going to be “Rapunzel” a pantomime by Limelight Scripts, directed by Avril McCormick. The pantomime will be staged at Burton Joyce Village Hall on Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th January 2023. Performances will commence at 7.00pm for Wednesday’s Evening performance and at 7.30pm for all other evening performances with a Saturday Matinee starting at 2.30pm.

Burton Joyce players are holding open auditions for this year's pantomime tomorrow night, 3rd October, 7 pm for juniors and 7:30 pm for adults in the Small Hall, at Burton Joyce Village Hall. This year's production is Rapunzel, and the production is on 25 to 28 January. Rehearsals are on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Sunday afternoons in January. We would love to see lots of new people auditioning, but we are also always looking for help with costumes and technical support. We're told we're a friendly group so please come down and say "Hello", we can't wait to meet you.

The next Burton Joyce Players’ production, 29th September to 1st October, is to be a comedy-thriller “The Ghost Train” written by Arnold Ridley.
Whilst it not quite Halloween, the story centres upon a group of railway passengers who have been stranded at a remote rural station overnight and are increasingly threatened by a latent external force.
“A very silly young man accidentally strands six passengers at a small Cornish wayside station. Despite the psychic stationmaster's weird stories of a Ghost Train, they decide to spend the night in the waiting room. Soon they regret this decision as ghostly apparitions materialise, before the young man reveals the true reason behind the night’s events”.

It is with regret that we have to inform you that Cinderella will not be going to the ball in January after all. Due the impact of Covid which continues to affect our cast members, and for everyone’s safety, we have made the decision to postpone our Cinderella pantomime until the spring. This will now take place 27th to 30th April, and we very much hope you will all come and enjoy our great show then.

Arrangements are being made regarding refunds. If your tickets were purchased locally simply take your tickets back to the café from which they were bought, and you will receive a full refund. If you purchased online, through Ticketsource, you will receive a notification via email of the cancellation this will be followed by a second automated email from Ticketsource once their refund has been processed. Please note that it can take up to 14 days for the refund to appear back in your bank.
