As my world gets absorbed by JT Soar Fest proper sometimes shows either side get overshadowed... And oh gee they shouldn't, got some real sweet shows booked in..
First up, 29th Oct, JT Fest Warm up Show 1 (in collab with EFBAS Presents ), with Tokyo minimalist noise rockers , Newcastle fuzzy post punkers .patrol and Sheffield oddball garage punks BIG BREAK .
Next, 30th Oct, JT Fest Warm up Show 2, with Scottish wonky art punkers Buffet Lunch , Glasgow patchy garagey power poppers Middle Class Guilt and Bristol rock n rolling power poppers BRUNO AND THE OUTRAGEOUS METHODS OF PRESENTATION .
Then 10th Nov, with Toronto's electronic tinged dusty twinkly indie pop rock cootie catcher , London misc art popper Lou Terry and brand new local beat combo toysoldier .
Theeeen 20th Nov the welcome return from one of my faves TRASH KIT , ftMo Shopping, Sacred Paws etc.. spiky post pumpkin broken funk goodness.. with recent Krankenhaus highlights lush dream pop sextet My Precious Bunny (ftMo PENELOPE ISLES ) and jangly spikey bloopy indie poppers Precious Metals .

Rare show TOMORROW NIGHT from minimalist oddball electronic art popping wizard than is Dan Shutt. Part of the Tasty Morsels cohort. Imagine if Beck, Very early Animal Collective, the Earthbound soundtrack and Connan Mockasin all got shoved onto a broken 4 track and you're about there. A truly special musical enterprise.

They're support The Hobknobs (NDL)! Sweet but not sickly, dour but no disaster, every pluck, strum, word, jangle is in it's place, a lesson in brevity. This indie folky poppy dutch supergroup (Members of Lewsberg, The Klittens etc) are on their 3rd UK tour, and have recently spent 3 weeks touring the US in prep for their new LP, Helmets Off.. it's just stunning... Go listen then come see them play here at JT.. last time it was proper can hear a pin drop vibes...
