On my desk: Insta vs Reality

My craft station is my very unglamorous kitchen table. Which is also where I have been remote teaching for the last 3 months! Once my school day is over, I get my crafting supplies out as a way of switching off for the day. Which sometimes means setting up for a day at the laptop with pliers and polymer clay scattered around me.

My personal favourite about this set up is that it’s so flexible... note the cardboard box bringing my laptop up to a comfortable working height 🤦‍♀️ protecting the neck/spine ain’t no joke!

It’s day one of

💛 Why Daffs & Hall?
Daffs- my favourite flower is the humble daffodil. They link to many fond memories of childhood for me. Plus, who can resist a cheery punch of yellow to mark spring?

Hall- a short version of my surname. I work as a teacher by day. So I like to retain a little anonymity online to keep my two worlds from colliding.

💛 I originally launched the brand to teach adult arts and crafts classes. With a few successful paint and sip sessions under my belt, the pandemic then put a stop to my plans. I found that working with polymer clay was great to keep my hands busy during lockdown. So my jewellery collections were born!

Decided to wear my own pair from this collection to work today. It made such a nice change to get dressed a little smarter than I have recent weeks! These earrings gave my outfit a nice polished touch.
