Today's is all about family ❤️ Show family, real life family, or sometimes, the two become one...

"Getting to perform with my sister will stay with me forever. Everything she did on that stage in every show she was in was just superb. We only got to do a few scenes together down the years; one was in Mack & Mabel when Sheridan was Mabel and I was Fatty, this one is from Cabaret when Tom and Sheridan ran the show, and I got to have a brilliant time playing Herr Schultz" - Ross

"Mame - with my son Jack as my nephew Patrick ❤ previous time we did Mame it was my Mum playing Mame a very special connection there ❤... South Pacific my first leading role... Husband John in the Merry Widow... and of course our dear Ben in Oklahoma playing Jud Fry 💔" - Liz

"Meeting this handsome fella in Sunshine on Leith🩷 ☀️" - Molly

"I've got 2 pics from 2014 and 2025, both featuring me and Anya about to go on stage together!" - Eleanor

"And of course Sunshine on Leith. My first show with LEOS and I met some amazing people who are now great friends, and obviously where I met my partner Louise!" - Stuart

"Marrying my future husband on stage in Fiddler…. Then saying “yes” to doing it for real on the final night of 7 Brides." - Sheridan

Today's goes out to everybody who's worked with us behind the scenes! Whether it's hauling set, painting faces, in the band, getting everything in and out of the theatre, photographing shows and taking the time to burn them onto CDs, manning the sound desk or being the only one who knows how to put together the seating, we appreciate you all!

An exciting Society Showdown update!

We heard from lots of you who said you’d love to play in the Society Showdown, but your society wasn’t taking part. We heard you and have created a new team for the event - the ‘Free Agents’! This team is made up of people who are members of theatre societies in Nottingham(shire) and Derby(shire) but whose societies aren’t taking part officially. If you’d like to play for the ‘Free Agents’, please email [email protected] or message LEOS MTC’s page to sign up! FAQs below:

Which societies are taking part?
If you’re solely a member of LEOS MTC, BMTG, The Good Companions, Kaleidoscope Players, Encore Performing Arts or Gatepost, please contact their committee as they’ve got teams entered. If you’re a member of any other society, please get in touch!

I’m in multiple societies, can I take part?
Please get in touch to have a chat - we’d love to have you!

Do I need to pay to participate?
Yes - each participant pays £20, which includes a personalised match day t-shirt, pitch hire and a donation to LASTING.

The Society Showdown is open for expressions of interest from any theatre society in the Nottingham/Derby area til the end of this week (Fri 15 May)!

We’ve been blown away by the enthusiasm of those societies who’ve already got in touch to play in the tournament! We do have a couple of spaces left and would love to hear from any theatre/drama society in the Nottingham/Derby area who might be interested in entering a team, supporting the LASTING Project!

The tournament takes place between 12-6pm on Saturday 27 June. You need min. 8 players for a team. Each participant pays £20, which covers a personalised t-shirt, pitch hire and a donation to LASTING. For all other FAQs, please see our previous posts!

✨Deadline extended!✨ Following chats with societies, we've extended the expression of interest deadline by a few more days! We've heard from some amazing local groups but would love more to be involved! If you're a theatre society in Notts/Derbys and/or 10-15 miles from Long Eaton and you'd like to be part of a fundraising day for an incredible regional grassroots theatre accessibility project, please drop us an email! ⚽🏆

Some of you MAY know this, but MAY Hall has been LEOS' home since 1955! As we're now moving our regular shows to the Duchess Theatre, we're getting all sentimental about our history in this lovely venue. So, for the whole of this MAY, we'll be sharing our from LEOS shows gone by.

Starting with the under stage bar! Way way back (many centuries ago), under the stage was the place to be 🍻
