I think we’re safe in saying we all need a little more whimsy in our lives, anything that can raise a smile can really lift your mood, and everyone who’s seen our new addition to the Umbrella pendants collection has instantly smiled! They’re bright and colourful and most definately fun. What could be more whimsical... how about earrings with colourful umbrellas AND cute ghosts!?

After the success of our August soft re-launch of our Craft Social Hana and Angela are back with 2 new dates for September!

In the September sessions you’ll have the option of joining Angela for this months Mini Make to learn even count Pe**te Stitch to create your own beaded ring. Or bring along your own project for a fun social atmosphere, whether that’s beading, embroidery, knitting, sketching, crochet or whatever you have on the go. We’ll have the workshop room on our first floor open, as well as our making space at the back of our ground floor shop.

Tickets are £8.00 they include a Hot or Cold drink and cake of your choice. There is no additional charge for the Mini Make activity.

You will also recieve 10% discount on any items you’d like to purchase at the event.

This is a ticketed event and they’re selling quickly, so grab yours now!

Sometimes it’s hard to get a sense of scale with beadwork, so hopefully this helps!

These lovely blooms are the first 4 kits in our Flower Jewellery collection, all of which can be turned into with a ring, pendant or brooch! There will be more… ideas are forming already, but do let us know which other flowers you’d like to see in our collection in the future!

We have a brand new handy bead board - they’ve already been put to great use collecting beads and planning out designs by our lovely customers in the shop and we’ve now launched them on the website too!

They’re a handy 24cm x 20cm compact size with a channel around the outside as well as multiple bracelet options and recess’ to contain your beads. Not to mention they look great in a photograph 😉

There’s something fishy in your feed & they’re adorable! 🐠 🪼 🦀 🐟

These new little enamel sealife charm are so cute, we’ve all been cooing over them in the shop and these earrings we made to demonstrate just how lovely they as jewellery for our product pages have been inspiring you in the shop to make your own oceaianic jewellery too (Hana has already pinched the Red set 😁).
I think the tiny red crabs are my fav, but it’s a hard to pick just 1 favorite from this collection!

How juicy do you like your beads?

You may already have seen them in the shop or your inbox via our recent newsletter, but we’re all a little bit in love with these gorgeous Murano style glass fruit beads. They’re perfect for earrings or making a pendant, ideal for the holidays!

One great way of turning these beads into pendants, to create a necklace or earrings is to thread them onto a headpin. However due to the way these gorgeous beads are made, their hole size can vary a little and on average they’re around 2mm. This is a little large for our headpins on their own, but by threading a small bead on first, like a size 8 seed bead or a 2.5mm metal spacer bead, it stops your fruit bead slipping over. You can also add one above the bead if needed.

The first 2 kits of our Beaded flower collection have launched!

What our kits contain:
All the beads required to make your Poppy.
Beading Thread and Needle.
Full instructions, including written directions, clear diagrams and additional videos.
Beading mat to prevent your beads rolling away.
A tea bag so you can enjoy a cuppa while you start creating your beaded Poppy.

Our Poppy design includes making a Right Angle Weave bezel around a shiny Rivoli as well as using Square Stitch, Herringbone and some Netting to create the petals. You have the choice of how to wear your poppy, as a brooch, statement ring or pendant!

Currently still a WIP (work in progress) 🚧

The kits for our lovely new flowers are coming very soon… !

We have a Red & a Blue Poppy, a Sunflower and a Daisy (the Daisy isn’t quite complete, hence not making the photo). To be honest I’m loving the bold primary colours all together here.

We’ll share some of our inspiration for the kits over the weekend as well as some snippets of the kits being worked on.

We’ll be launching the first of the kits as well as our new website this week. Wish us luck for what will be one heck of a busy time 😁
