New project funded! 🦔🦋🐛

Thanks, We Are Epic!

The Adventures of Hoglet and Caterpillar is an interactive and sensory show that explores finding your chosen family and facing life's challenges together. It is co-created and performed by Octavia Nyombi and Evie Osbon

Echoing our own experience as neurodivergent and q***r artists, the plot follows two best friends, Hoglet and Caterpillar, who have the world… or at least the allotment, at their feet until they get separated for the Winter hibernation. Before spring breaks, they must grow into their respective wings and spikes and embark on a journey to find each other and themselves along the way.

But when the newly transitioned Butterfly finally finds her friend, the vigilant Hedgehog does not recognise her. How will they navigate the next phase of their relationship? Will it change their path forever? And maybe their hopes and dreams too... 🦔🦋🐛

We are excited to announce the WINNERs of QUEERDOs first Creative Mentoring Pilot Project: Hannah Balogun, Keira Dormer-Hazell ( .dh ), and Doug Deans! 🤩

Thank you to everyone who entered the lottery draw and for getting involved with QUEERDOs across 2025! 🥰

Our winners will receive three bespoke Creative Mentoring sessions with a mentor of their choice. Here at Mind Out, we will broker that relationship. The aim of this pilot project is to break down access barriers that often leave q***r, neurodivergent and disabled creatives falling through scheme and programme cracks!

Image description: “QUEERDOs – Creative Mentoring Pilot Project: Winners selected!” on a pink and white swirling background. Three portrait photos are shown side by side with name labels. From left to right: Hannah Balogun, a Black woman with long braids wearing layered necklaces and a sleeveless top; Keira Dormer-Hazell, a white person with dark hair tied back, wearing glasses, a black top, and jeans, photographed mid-gesture indoors; and Doug Deans, a white man with short light hair and glasses, smiling while wearing a jacket and T-shirt. Logos appear at the bottom for Community Fund, Mind Out Theatre, and Notts LGBT+ Network.
