Founded in the 1970’s, the St Margarets Players (SMP) is a successful amateur dramatics society based in Aspley, Nottingham. Originating from a group of church members who organised small plays for the local community, the group has grown over the last 20 years in both size and ambition. The club stages a diverse range of productions, usually putting on three shows a year (normally a play, musical and pantomime) for which open auditions are held. At 20 members strong, the juniors perform in their own annual production as well as playing a part in the Christmas show and other adult productions. Some junior productions have included Bugsy Malone, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and A Night at the Oscars. For information on how to join the players, do not hestitate to contact us - all welcome! Tickets for the shows are priced very competitively, details for specific shows will be posted on the site for upcoming productions.
