Jessica Paige Greig Fine Art Jessica Paige Greig Conceptual Artist A mother of two, her primary theme is the maternal. I hope to evoke an emotional reaction from people experiencing my art.

Jessica Paige Greig has exhibited work nationally and internationally since 2012, consisting of Photography, sculpture, drawing and painting. Currently exploring family dynamics, mother-child relationships, maternal mental health, Identity and the expected societal roles of females. She links themes of plant biology and life cycles to human experience using anthropomorphism and pareidolia, documen

ted via drawings, photography and sculpture. Inspired by seeds or plant reproductive systems, her sculptures use non traditional materials often resembling human body parts. I want to produce something raw to encourage conversation about the subject matter, I like to talk about intimacy, about pain, about experience, our struggles and about the fact that we are not alone, we can all relate to each other through our experiences, to relate is to bond, to form a connection, a community"

I'm making new work, it involves collecting stories from mothers about feeding their babies. I was originally interested in breast feeding stories, but now this project is focused on the highs and lows of feeding new born babies in general, I'm looking for stories of your struggles to your fairytales. Breastfeeding to bottle feeding, tongueties to food intolerance, from joyful textbook feeding to the darkest moments. I'm interested to see if there's a pattern emerging through these raw tales, are we all experiencing similar issues when it comes to feeding our babies and if so why? What stories do we have to tell? How can our stories help one another or help those yet to embark on thier own feeding journey.

Ideally I would like to receive your story, photograph, poem or any text you choose to be hand written and posted to my address, anonymously with (ideally) your used fabric breastpads. Excerpts of your story / images will be translated into the breastpads and then sewn into a nursing chair, making a collection of feeding stories. When government guidlines allow, I'd like to use the chair to be actively used as a nursing or feeding chair. As things are at the moment I don't think this will be possible in the near future.

The hand written stories will be used to make other art, for example a book or projection.

If you would like to participate please pm me for my address. Please share.

Call out for used washable cotton breastpads. I'm working on a long term art project that involves new mother's infant feeding experiences. Your successes, your self perceived failures, your stories, your true feelings of this very difficult task of keeping your new born baby alive and the continuation of feeding. Did feeding come easy to you? What were your struggles if any? How did you feel about breastfeeding? Bottle feeding? Social stigma of how we feed our children and more importantly did the way you chose to feed your children effect your bond/ relationship?

Please send me your used breastpads, clean or not to my address which you can obtain via pm.
Please include some text on paper, if you wish to do this Anon that's also fine because I will not be using personal details on the project anyway. However some of the text that you provide will be used along with your breastpads.

Unfortunately I cannot afford to pay postage at this stage of the project.

Porcelain dipped babies 'first' clothes, aged new born to 12 months. A selection of these items will be shown as an installation in an antique oak 'End of Bed Box', with lid and glass top, along with other baby 'first time' items and precious things. This project looks at fear of loss and fragility & also looks at humans tendency to 'hoard' items or keep for 'sentimental' value in an attempt to hold onto the past, a personal feeling or memory.
