The cover picture for Pink Floyd's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" was taken at Saunton Sands Beach in North Devon, England.

They had to make two visits to the beach to get the shot. The first attempt was ruined by rain, so they had to pack up all the beds and return two weeks later to try again.

For the shoot, photographer Storm Thorgerson arranged approximately ~700 hospital beds~ across the beach.
