Hello there,

We wanted to keep those at home up-to-date with what workshops we’re currently running digitally on top of our newsletter initiative.

For Children and Young People:
Home Rangers is a creative drama session tailored for the Home Educated Community
Participants will engage in a wide range of skills and theatre approaches such as; mime, puppetry and acting to camera. Working within a safe environment the group will feel supported in developing themselves as creatives as well as individuals.

Exploring creativity through discovering and making theatre is the perfect way for young people to begin to develop skills that will see them excel in later life. Not only will they gain confidence in expressing themselves but they’ll also become leaders, creators and imaginative team players.

Who is Home Rangers for?
These sessions are designed for home educated children aged 6-11yrs

Dates & Times
Classes run weekly on Fridays from 10.00am – 12.00pm. To book: https://wearenonsuch.com/portfolio/home-rangers-2/

For Adults:
Anyone can read a play at home, but Nonsuch’s Script Reading Group brings like minded individuals together for a shared experience to explore the exciting world of classic and contemporary theatre. Script Reading is a space to read a new play and provide the space for everyone to jump in and read the parts aloud. We ask questions, explore themes and learn about the social and historical contexts of the drama sparking exciting debate and discussion.

In our weekly group we explore a play, it’s theme, the men and women who wrote them, and what they wanted to express. Were they successful? What style did they use to convey their message? Do they still resonate with us today? The list is endless, but our aim remains the same, to create an open and inclusive space to read a play and voice our thoughts.

You’ll get the chance to read plays, test out scenes and discuss the action in friendly weekly sessions that will chart theatre through the ages featuring the classic plays you know and the exciting ones you might not!

Do I need to be a good reader?
No, you can read as much or as little as you like.

Will I be asked questions?
No, the discussion flows very informally.

Can I bring my own creative writing to the group and have it read/discussed?
Yes, we encourage it.

Who is script reading for?
These sessions are designed for anyone aged 21+ and are open to all abilities.

Dates & Times
Sessions run in 4 weekly blocks on Thursdays 10.30am – 12.00pm (unless stated otherwise). Our next four week block begins on Thursday 2nd April until Thursday 23rd April. To book: https://wearenonsuch.com/portfolio/script-reading/
