A Heritage Worth Celebrating.

The commitment in their faces, the strength in their steps and the passion in their performance show how deeply our culture lives within us.

A beautiful display of the Ogba heritage that deserves to be celebrated and preserved for generations to come.

Some stories entertain us.

Some become memories.

And then there are stories that become part of a generation.

Twenty-five years after Isakaba first captured the imagination of Nigerians, the story is finding its way back into the national conversation and once again, Dr. SAM DEDE stands at the centre of it as EBUBE.

But beyond the character, beyond the screen, and beyond the nostalgia, there is something worth remembering:

Storytelling is one of the oldest ways a people preserve memory.

A generation watched.
A generation remembered.
And today, another generation is discovering the story again.

That is the power of culture.

Today, the Ogba Cultural Renaissance Summit 2026 is honoured to welcome Dr. Sam Dede, veteran actor, filmmaker, director, theatre and film scholar, university lecturer, cultural advocate and former Director-General of the Rivers State Tourism Development Agency as our Keynote Speaker and Panelist.

His journey represents more than a successful career in entertainment. It is a journey through story, theatre, film, education, tourism and cultural expression.

And we are particularly delighted that a man who has spent decades telling stories that have travelled far beyond their original setting will be coming to Ogbaland to join us in a conversation about the stories, identity and heritage we must carry forward.

He will deliver the keynote:

“THE STORY WE INHERIT, THE FUTURE WE CREATE: Culture, Creativity and Sustainable Development.”

Because perhaps the most important question is not simply:

What stories did we inherit?

It is:

What stories are we creating for those who will come after us?

We are honoured to have you with us, Dr. Sam Dede.

Ogbaland awaits your voice.

When His Eminence takes a step to the sound of the ancestral drums, the rhythm becomes a conversation between the throne, the people and the land.

Every step carries the memory of those who came before us, every movement reminds us that our culture is still alive.

A King who dances to the music of his ancestors is not merely entertaining his people. He is acknowledging the roots from which the kingdom grew, embracing the traditions entrusted to his leadership, and celebrating the unity of his people.

And when the people cheer, it is not simply because their King is dancing.

They are celebrating a living connection to their heritage.

A BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO HIS EMINENCE

Barr. (Dr.) Nwachuku Nnam Obuoha-Obi III
Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland

A people are not only defined by the land they inhabit, but by the heritage they preserve, the values they uphold, and the stories they pass from one generation to another.

Today, we celebrate the man entrusted with a sacred responsibility, to stand as a symbol of unity, identity and continuity for the Ogba people.

Your Eminence, your reign represents a living bridge between the wisdom of our ancestors and the aspirations of generations yet unborn.

In your stool, our people see not merely royalty, but a custodian of heritage and a reminder that culture remains strongest when it is lived, protected and passed on.

We honour you today and wish you many more years of wisdom, strength, peace and purposeful service to Ogbaland.

May the land continue to honour your footsteps.
May your reign continue to inspire unity.
May the traditions entrusted to your care flourish beyond your generation.

Happy Birthday, Oba Odudu.

Long live His Eminence.
Long live the Oba of Ogbaland.
Long live Ogbaland.

WHEN THE DRUMS SPEAK.

The sound of the drums is more than music, it is a heartbeat connecting generations.

When we dance to traditional rhythms, we celebrate the people, places, and stories that shaped us.
