2LC Sym O-L1 20

This series of Over-Lay Syms have been inspired from a single 2 line Continuum drawing.
Oil painting on silkscreen 70 x 50 cm.

From an ongoing series of Over-Lay paintings produced prior to the UK Lockdown due to the CoVid19 pandemic.

The starting point for all these works were the previous series of silkscreen prints from 2017. The 2 line Symmetry drawing was conceived on returning from a the journey taken over land, sea and air to attend and collaborate with the Belfast artist Grace McMurray for The Expanded Studio Project with PS2 in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2019.

A singular form study has been interrogated as a hairline pencil drawing , transcribed in to a single stroke watercolour line drawing, refined and Over-Laid as an oil painting on an existing print.
