Local icon and TikTok sensation Sophie Lavender is a stand-up comedian, filmmaker and ‘creativity wizard’. She is the mastermind behind Radio Honk, a luxury auditory comedy experience created for BBC Radio Lincolnshire; and she’s wowed audiences with her stand-up all over the Nottingham scene.

Sophie is an advocate for all things q***r and neurodivergent - from her TEDx talk Autism Saved My Life to her open discussion of ADHD, autism, dyspraxia and q***r identity across the UK podcast circuit. We can’t wait to welcome this friend of the show onstage at last!

A favourite among Nottingham’s improv community, Andel is a globetrotting actor, director and improv mentor with 20 years of performing and coaching. As her whirlwind UK tour begins this spring, she’s dropping in on Club Wormhole to deliver her brand of authentic, playful brand of performance.

Andel is a veteran of the Chicago and Amsterdam improv scenes, where she also wrote and performed theatre and sketch comedy. As a mentor, her focus is on facilitating play, ensuring performers are in touch with themselves and creative processes that align with their values.

It’s her first Wormhole visit, but it’s likely you’ve seen Lucy Pearman before. She wrote, produced and starred in the sitcom pilot Please Help, which aired on BBC3 and earned her a BAFTA nomination (Best short-form programme, 2022). You may also have seen her on 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown, or the 2020 Red Dwarf special The Promised Land.

A real “star in the Making” (Telegraph), Lucy’s surreal comedy style - and knack for a ridiculous costume - is highly acclaimed across the UK scene. Her 2025 Edinburgh show Lunartic was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee award for Comic Originality, and transferred to Soho Theatre in September. We can’t wait to welcome Lucy to the Club!

Get in the hole and join the club; we are going on an adventure! Club Wormhole welcomes all to join our gang of alt comedians, clowns and weirdos for a night of comedy, art and transcendence!

Grab one giant piece of popcorn: it’s time for a Mouse Adventure! This month, Wormhole’s own Mouse Media historian Laurie joins shortest gang member Sam for a story of tiny tenacity so heartwarming you’ll think it’s a 90s Disney Movie. Expect beautiful ballads, creative contraptions and a fight for fluffy-eared freedom!

We’ll find other furry friends along the way: International improviser Andel Sudik brings the playfulness any mouse movie needs, joined by TikTok sensation - and self-described “jester of darkness” - Sophie Lavender. Then in the headline slot, it’s BAFTA nominated comedian, actor and writer Lucy Pearman, as seen on TV!

ON MONDAY YOU SAW

The final prenatal hosting of our much loved Rosa Keaton. More than any of us, Wormhole has been Rosa’s creation- she’s been the driving force behind keeping it high concept, high quality, and high silly, but also just keeping it going. Rosa has put countless unpaid hours into the boring admin that keeps the AWARD WINNING Club Wormhole going. From photographic every show to ticket links, booking acts, and rightfully bringing pantomime into every performance, Rosa is Club Wormhole and always will be.

We also love our guest acts!
Richard Dadd may have lost his sense of humour but he helped us find ours in a way thats very inspirational and sure to be the plot of some BAFTA winning film.
Ryan S.lewis. brought us to Jesus, Hamlet, and farts in a sensational debut. Multiple show-stopping characters in a mere 10 minute slot?! I fear all we can say is “hell yeah”
Caitriona Dowden was our sublime headliner. Her deadpan delivery feels like a constant loop into relaxing and surprise that’s incredible to be a part of. New material of this standard is truly special and keep your eyes peeled for an Edinburgh preview in the future 👀

Writer, director, voice actor and comic Richard Dadd is the brains behind Birmingham’s cult alternative comedy night Late Night Sweet Shop - very much a kindred spirit who we’re delighted to welcome back to the club.

The pride of Smethwick himself, R.S. Lewis has been a busy boy since his last visit to Club Wormhole. He returns with Birmingham Comedy Festival’s Breaking Talent Award 2025 under his belt - weird place to keep a commemorative mug, but there we are.

Ryan uses his background in theatre and a penchant for ‘over enthusiastic storytelling’ to produce hilarious and engaging stand-up with an alternative twist - a style that’s taken him around the country, including the legendary Comedy Store Gong Show.
