Over the last 20 years, I have worked in both the health and beauty industry and education sector, both professional roles taught me the importance of listening, problem-solving, honest communication and providing service to the highest standards. I consider them all essential skills when working to plan any special event. I have always had a passion for planning and parties, I am what some may term ‘a perfectionist’, to me the smaller details are equally as important as the major choices, as only together will they create a thoughtful and cohesive event. My journey into party planning began in the ’00s when family and friends began asking for advice on wedding planning and hen parties, and I realised this was something I really enjoyed doing, I loved creating that WOW factor and seeing people enjoy themselves. Then life changed as my husband and I welcomed our daughter, the light of our lives into the world. Other priorities seemed to fade into the background as we struggled with Ill health and sleepless nights. We had been given the most precious gift and wanted to bring joy and happiness to every possible moment... and there the party planning really began in earnest. We would celebrate everything and anything, the weekend, a dolls birthday, the dogs birthday (yes I’ve thrown a full party for the family dog), Easter, Solstice, Halloween, Christmas and of course we go all out for Birthdays! Recently the desire to spend more quality time with friends has become important to our daughter and requests of ‘sleepovers’ are coming thick and fast and inevitably I wanted to make them a magical occasion that everyone would remember, then The Pyjama Party Company was born.
