We’re pleased to introduce Into the Spotlight, our latest production — a Musical Mega Mix showcasing songs, dance, and drama from current and popular musicals.

Performers will work towards a professionally staged showcase performance on:

As part of our rebrand into a performing arts academy, we now offer weekly training sessions. Children can join either on an ongoing basis or specifically to take part in this production, making it an ideal opportunity for both experienced performers and newcomers.

⏰ 4:30pm – 7:30pm

During rehearsals, performers will develop confidence, creativity, and performance technique, with all material tailored to suit individual strengths.

Hi, I’m Lucie, and I’ve had a lifelong love of performing — I started dancing when I was just 2 years old, training and dreaming of being on stage. I spent my summers at Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, before training full-time at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with honors in Musical Theatre ✨

Over the next 10 years, I lived my dream: performing in musicals, UK tours, film and commercials, and even as a backing dancer at Wembley Arena for Will Young, plus appearances in adverts like Virgin Trains. Every experience taught me the craft of performing, and the sheer joy of being on stage, which I wanted to share with children closer to home.

In 2021, I turned a tiny idea into reality and launched Poppet & Pearl Performing Arts Academy — my dream of bringing musical theatre to local children, giving them the chance to sing, dance, act, and experience the thrill of performing in theatre, just as I did when I was young. Since then, it’s grown beyond anything I could have imagined.

I couldn’t do it without my right-hand woman, Ellie. She’s my best friend, choreographer, and assistant director, and together we produce and direct all of our shows. Ellie keeps me in line (and I like to think I keep her in line too!), comes up with crazy, impossible ideas that somehow she makes possible, and with her insane talent for choreography, she’s an absolute gem to have by my side ❤

Outside the studio, I’m mum to Tilly and Summer, who inspire me every day to keep creating magical opportunities for children through performance, teamwork, and creativity.

At Poppet & Pearl, we don’t just teach musical theatre — we help children build confidence, make friends, laugh, and shine on stage. No experience is needed, just a love of performing and a willingness to have fun!
