J9 Laser gas kiln for sale

J9 Laser gas kiln (currently natural gas but could change burners to adapt to bottle gas), fair to good condition. Kiln stand, thermocouple, digital pyrometer (with set-able cut off), 6 kiln shelves (2 of which form the floor of the kiln)

Chamber Internal dimensions - 80cm high x 55cm wide x 52cm deep
Overall Exterior dimensions (including stand) 167cm high x 82cm deep x 82 cm wide
Buyer must collect (Nottingham - NG2 5EF) - £500 ono for quick sale.

I bought this kiln from Colin Mason (ace all round potters' maintenance guy) around 3 years ago for £800 but have not actually used it since as I was too busy with classes and growing family commitments to get back to making my own work as I'd hoped. I am now relocating to the South coast to be nearer family and do not have a suitable site for this kiln so sadly have to part with it rather rapidly.

You will see in the photos that there is some cracking to the ceramic fibre-board lining. Colin assured me that it has plenty of firings in it still in its current condition, however, and that the fibre-board lining is easily replaced when necessary.

We are sad to announce that we have made the difficult decision to close Seymour Road Studios pottery classes. We want to thank everyone who has followed us, encouraged us and joined in our activities over the years - our many students and your work have given us so much pleasure.
This coming Sunday 6th June between 10am and 12noon the workshop will be open for anyone to come and have a rummage through the remaining pots in the workshop. There will be a collection box for donations to Refuge, a charity supporting women and children suffering due to domestic violence.
