Well hellloooooo there our old friends and new! Long - ish post incoming

A small little opportunity is coming up with REDuck as we tentatively think about bringing back SCRATCH SHOT!! (Unpaid unfortunately)

But in the meantime, we have teamed up with our friends at Reflex Theatre to bring you a MINI SCRATCH as part of their WIP IT UP night on the 24th June at the Garage and we need YOU!

So for a little bit of spiel:

Scratch Shot was a new writing, express theatre and networking evening that ran at a a few years ago. We built a phenomenal group of connections and it was a whistle stop night of new and exciting performance.

No matter what experience you had as a writer, if you wanted to write a sketch, try out an idea or wanting to see how that first draft sounds, we took it and gave it to some amazing actors who had ONE HOUR to rehearse the piece and then performed it to some incredible, warm and welcoming audiences in a relaxed rehearsed reading atmosphere.

If you were just starting out as an actor, just wanting to brush up on your sight reading skills, or just wanted to meet other performers, this brought everyone together.

It was a blast.

SO what we are looking for is, two 10 minute scenes, of no more than three actors or 5 minutes monologues to give the scratch experience.

Once we have the scenes, we will look for our darling actors to join us.

All goes well, we may bring it back to WIP but also go in search of new venues for Scratch (most likely Norwich based)

But for now, if you have a script you want to be given the scratch treatment pop us an email to [email protected]

If you can email us with your script by the 17th June I can then gather some beautiful people to bring the scripts to life.

One rule is, the writer is not allowed to be in their scene! It's designed for them to see how their work is met in a fast paced and fun environment!

Could you be our Dame in this year's Pantomime?💋

👀 What we’re looking for:
Actors with a passion for pantomime and family theatre. Great comic timing and exaggerated performances are a must. We want to fill the stage with larger-than-life characters full of fun and panto magic. Actors with a good singing ability and dance/movement skills are preferable.

Also, this is a paid role! I know! Even better!

We are committed to diverse and inclusive casting and while the characters are specific genders, the presenting gender of the
actor will not inhibit casting. We would also like to encourage actors to apply without regard to disability, age, body type, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity. We are keen to see performers of all ethnicities for these roles.

Tech, Dress and School’s shows
Week beginning 14th December

Saturday 19th December – 31st December

Good house to our friends at Reflex Theatre for the opening night of the tour of Call Me John in Aylsham tonight.

It promises to be a very lovely, heartfelt and funny show (if the sneaky peak I saw last night is anything to go by) so do try to catch it at one of the many venues around Norfolk and Suffolk.

The show is going far and wide so there is plenty of opportunity.

It's also only a tenner, for some excellent theatre that may just tug on the heartstrings and make you smile.

And in today's world - that's important.

We've had an amazing day performing our pantomime to Bungay Primary School ! What an incredible audience they were! Thank you for coming to see us!

Our actors are now having a very well earned break before their first show on Friday 5.30pm. There are a few tickets left for our opening night - get in quickly!, You won't want to miss it!
