Sometimes writing something is like gradually squeezing out your brain cells onto the page, or it's like your soul has been caught in the nuddy. Writing Fuzzy was like that, the most personal project I ever engaged in. Rehearsing it again, ten years later, I'm reminded of the people and the stories which inspired it, some of them belong to me, some belong to others, but all are true. I'm reminded of the pain, but also of the hope. I'm reminded of how spirituality, sexuality, mental health, family, friendships and relationships of all sorts can be toxic, but also how they can restorative and healing. If you come to see Fuzzy, remember, much of it actually happened, other bits are flights of fantasy, but all of it is true. Dean.
