Henri Merriam opens There Is a Light and a Whistle for Attracting Attention this Friday at The Garage Norwich (17 July), followed by two nights at Underground during Buxton Fringe (20-21 July).

A funny, unflinching one-woman play about love, doubt, and the romantic stories we grow up believing.

Ever wanted to try acting, directing, or writing? Our Drama Summer School is the perfect place to build confidence, make new friends, and create something amazing together.

Over the week, young people will work as a team to devise, rehearse, and perform a brand new play written by them, no experience needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun!

📅 Monday 3rd – Friday 7th August
🕘 Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–2:00pm
🕘 Friday: 9:00am–11:30am
📍 Wadebridge (location TBC)
👧 Ages 8–14
💷 £175 for the week

Henri back in the room, under Sophia's direction and Stanley's strict supervision.

Three days to Norwich. We can't wait to have you with us for a play the critics called "smart and quietly radical" (Voice Magazine) and "nothing less than a triumph" (Broadway Baby).

Rehearsals with a very small guest observer.

Huge thanks to Arts Council England, whose funding has enabled us to support our director, Sophia, through the practical realities of directing this show with a new baby in the room. Childcare provision as part of the production budget isn't standard, and it should be.

Stanley, our smallest and most attentive audience member, gives the rehearsal room his full endorsement.
