This Friday at the Purple City's Department for Work & Sessions opens it's doors for our very first Advisory workshop! Our key advisor on the night is none other than underground session legend making his debut in the legendary Gonzo's cage.

Supporting him in an advisory role will be local Session legend aka our mate Kieran.

With a foundational education in hip-hop, UKG and dubstep Smithwoodwest has become one of the cities most in-demand and well regard community members and has provided key strategy and growth opportunities at Sessions across our Fine City.

🟣 With a week until the Purple City's Department For Work & Sessions takes over it's probably high time *ahem* we introduce you to your Sesh advisors 🟣

First up: aka Tesfa Williams, making his debut in the legendary Gonzo's cage.

Tesfa has been a key advisor in UK Sesh planning for over two decades, with a strong portfolio in international Session development. Raised on a strict training regime of Jungle, UK Garage and Reggae in West London. Since then, under his Dread D alias, he has played a pivotal role in the absolute Seshification of sublow and grime as a member of the legendary Black Ops crew and has gone on to absolutely Sesh the living s**t out of the house and UK Funky scenes, tour the world with Disclosure, headline key Sessions all over the globe and generally become a foundation piece of the UK's thriving underground work and sessions scenes.

In the past 12 months Tesfa has brought his in-depth B2C experience to the Purple City, working with us to release Raves Of Future Past, a 12 step training manual which consolidates all of his invaluable experience in setting off an absolute sesh.

Given Tesfa's extensive Sesh based experience we have elected to leave him in control of your developmental Session for an extended 90 minute set, so expect genres and BPMs to go anywhere and everywhere during the course of your training.

Yes ’s premiere (aka only) record label is opening the doors on the Department For Work & Sessions in the fine city of Norwich on Friday December 13th at legendary and they’re bringing a clutch of their best sesh advisors to help YOU find success and gainful enjoyment in the competitive field of underground raving!

Making his debut in the Gonzo’s cage, fresh off the back of releasing his critically acclaimed debut album we welcome UK underground legend T.Williams for an extended 90 minute set where he’ll be digging deep in the crates on the rarer side of his sound so expect anything and everything from UKG and grime to dubstep, jungle and DnB mayhem.

Support comes from Purple City’s resident residents / reprobates and alongside rising local talent / maverick plumber !

10 years ago one of the City's biggest inspirations lost his battle with depression, something he'd both eloquently and hilariously analysed and battled his entire life. It more than blindsided us.

Depression isn't as simple as people looking sad or having a perceived "tough" life.

It's far more complex. It's far more nuanced.

Sometimes it's not even apparent until it's too late.

All you can really do is talk. Talk to your friends more. Talk out loud more. Tell people how you really feel, listen to other people and listen when they tell you without judgement.

& also wrote a really good song about losing Robin Williams too.

So listen to that and talk (and listen) to those around you.

Obviously we're always here (DMs or phone) if you need to talk / have someone listen too.

In celebration of his first official week of ADHD medication titration (not to be confused with the emancipation proclamation) why not share 's recent mix for longtime OG Citizen 's "Sepia Presents" on SWU.FM?

Jungle, footwork, juke, hip-hop, halftime and classic dirty south rap: it's basically the perfect snapshot of an inattentive mind in rhythmic chaos, so fairly appropriate for this particular week really.

Will these long awaited meds allow him to finally focus on a single path of career development after 35+ years of ineffective attempted self annihilation? Will they merely make his mixes less wildly unfocused?

We have no answers for you other than that we can guarantee either way he will still clang in the mix gratuitously and without remorse.
