Amazing! Do you think your child could be the one?

Some performances make you forget a player's age. This was one of them.

At just 11 years old, Bodhana Sivanandan produced the game of her life at the British Chess Championship.

Playing with the black pieces against Grandmaster Ameet Ghasi, she delivered a stunning victory with 99% accuracy, the kind of performance that would turn heads at any level, let alone from a player still in primary school.

This isn't just another talented junior making headlines. It's another sign that we're watching the rise of a player who could redefine English chess for years to come.

Congratulations to Bodhana Sivanandan on an outstanding performance at the Dole Open 2026! ♟️🎉

Bodhana earned her first IM norm and second WGM norm, adding to an impressive tournament in which she also became the youngest female player ever to defeat a grandmaster rated over 2600.

Congratulations, Bodhana!

On Tuesday night Broadland Chess held their end of season Blitz tournament, here are a few pictures of the evening when Trophies earned during the season. This was the last club meeting until Tuesday September 1st.

May 2026 - World Super Seniors Amateur Chess Tournament.
