This is a small weekly class where children build confidence in drawing and painting while having fun and experimenting with different materials and ideas.

Today is World Turtle Day! 🐢 I’ve created this colouring sheet based on one of my paintings for your little ones to enjoy, a lovely, mindful activity to celebrate these beautiful creatures.

Last week was so much fun! Check out these cool mini worlds the children built for their animal sculptures. Down and out duck, disco pig, a Parisian painting goose, a horror film is on at the cinema, while other animals chill at the beach and enjoy a peaceful garden. Their imaginations are just THE BEST! They never fail to make me smile!

The children have absolutely loved making these clay animals and they look fab and full of character.

I’m not usually a fan of Crocs but the duck and goose are rocking them! 🤣

They’re now creating gorgeous mini worlds for them to live in, it’s always so much fun watching their imaginations run wild and seeing what they’ll come up with.

So many skills developing - dexterity, creativity, problem solving and storytelling to name a few!

Loved today’s class making Highland cows out of air-dried clay, full of personality and inspired by Brick Kiln Pottery The children produced such wonderful pieces, each one full of character and something to be proud of. I’m really looking forward to when they paint them next week!

Over the past two weeks in Sketchbook Club, we’ve been experimenting with pastels and exploring colour blending techniques.

Last week we created colourful turtles and this week we’ve been getting into the Easter spirit with bunnies, eggs and chicks.

The children have absolutely loved mixing and layering the pastels. It’s been such a joy to watch their confidence grow.

As always, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed supporting their ideas and seeing each of their unique styles unfold.

Looking forward to next term already!

Join me this Easter for a special workshop where young artists will create their own mysterious woodland scene, filled with misty trees, glowing light and hidden magical details.

Using acrylic paint on A3 canvas, we’ll explore blending, layering and perspective to build depth and atmosphere, developing real painting skills while creating a beautiful finished piece to be proud of.

A creative, imaginative session designed especially for older primary artists.

The session will be held in my studio at Pulham Market and is £20 per child, all materials included. Spaces are very limited to six children, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
