| MEET THE CREATIVES | Our Sound Designer and Operater

O/li Hurley (Any/All) is a Master of Theatre Directing, a Writer, Performer and all around creative based in Norwich.
They have previously worked on End Of The World Theatre Company’s previous Fringe shows: in Tv Apocalypse as sound design/tech and as an actor/deviser in I Cut My Ni***es Off Today.
Outside of the company they were an ensemble actor in UEA’s Declamations project, Stage Manager and Puppet Performer for Wish Dare Inspire’s Baba Yaga and have written, directed and sound designed shows for a number of short play festivals at UEA.

• Meet the Writer and Co-Director •

Alex Curry (they/them) is playwright, actor, and director currently based in Norwich, Norfolk. Their past work includes three plays performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by End of the World Theatre Company from 2022-2024: TV Apocalypse, Only Hitmen and Scammers Make Phone Calls, and I Cut My Ni***es Off Today. Their writing is darkly comedic, intense, and visceral, with a focus on q***r indentites and the end of the world.

If the world was ending, where would you go?

Sam is going home, only it’s not home anymore, not since them and Jamie broke up two years ago. Still, the world is ending, and it is better to be with someone who used to love you than to be alone. At least, that’s what they think.

“What the Flowers Think (about the apocalypse)” is a dark drama about returning, leaving, and holistic horticulture. As society crumbles and relationships fracture only one question remains: where do you want to die?

End of the World Theatre Company is heading back to the with a brand new play “What the Flowers Think (about the apocalypse)”, a dark drama about returning, leaving, and holistic horticulture. As society crumbles and relationships fracture only one question remains: where do you want to die?

Sam is going home, only it’s not home anymore, not since them and Jamie broke up two years ago. Still, the world is ending, and it is better to be with someone who used to love you than to be alone. At least, that’s what they think.

It's that time of year again, we're going to be back in Edinburgh with a new version of a play you've seen before!!

I Cut My Ni***es Off Today is a visceral exploration of what you'd do to get the body you want, looking at gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, and self-love. It's honest, brutal, and q***r AF.

!! POSTER REVEAL !!

That’s right, with the start of the exactly a month away, we thought it high time to announce that End of the World Theatre Company will be returning to the festival with a new play — ‘Only Hitmen and Scammers Make Phone Calls’!!!

‘Only Hitmen and Scammers Make Phone Calls’ is a fast-paced comedy of shocking revelations about the finite nature of human existence, finding love in unexpected places, and PPI. Nate and Quinn take residence in an abandoned warehouse to await details of their next job, just a phone and each other for company, wiling away the time with darkly comedic arguments about ri***ng, ballcocks, and murder – all whilst hiding some shady secrets about their mysterious employer.
