Excuse me, I had a little wander ✨️

Half term was wonderful and a well welcomed break. We ventured to Oxford and had the best time wandering, exploring, chatting and laughing. Memories to last a lift time. But now it's back to business and the count down has started.

The summer solstice fayre is coming up on the 20th June at the Gibraltar gardens, Norwich. I'll have lots of magical hand crafted items from dungarees to buntin. All hand dyed, all one of a kind.

Hope to see you there 🌙🍄✨️

WE ARE MIGHTY HIKERS!

What a day yesterday was! We took part in the Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike in support of . We hiked 14.5 miles, 3 of which were deep shingles, but we absolutely smashed it! We met some incredible people and wandered through some of the most incredible landscapes, spotting wildflowers and birds as we went. A white tail eagle came to give its support along the way, hovering but meters above my head! I'm so proud of what we have achieved, especially as James had to step in at the last minute due to injury. We walked those miles in memory of our beloved Nannie June & Big Gran gran and raised over £700 in their name. Put together with the Brave the shave I did in September, we have currently raised £1410!

If you'd like to donate, the page is still open, and you can find the link on my stories. (Or drop me a message, and I can send it over) Every donation goes towards helping the amazing work and supporting Macmillan no matter how big or small. Thank you to everyone who has donated your support and kindness are deeply appreciated.

Back to reality now, though, more cutting, dyeing, and sewing this week and hopefully a day or 2 in the gardens 🌸✨️🌱

This week feels full in the best, slightly chaotic way ✨

I’m getting ready to walk the Mighty Hike for Macmillan this Sunday — a big stretch of heart and legs for a really important cause 💚

In between that, the studio has been busy in that slow, steady rhythm I love…
printing, sewing, dyeing — hands always moving, ideas always brewing.

Last week looked like:
🌿 time in the garden (everything growing wild and a bit magical)
✂️ cutting dungarees
🎨 restocking dyes (finally!)
🧵 sewing and cutting new bunting from freshly dyed fabrics

There’s something really special about seeing fabrics go from blank to full of life, then slowly becoming pieces you can hold.

And now… we’re gently turning toward the Summer Solstice Fayre 🌞
(one of my favourite moments of the year — light, colour, and a bit of magic in the air)

If you’re marking the solstice this year, I’d love to hear how ✨

Spring has been all about slowing down and creating. Looking forward to the summer solstice fayre. Fabric's been dyed, threads chopped, and stitches sewn. Life's chaotic, but I'm savouring the moments.

I interrupt our usual broadcasting to bring you whimsy from the woods.

If only the photos did it justice. never looked more beautiful. Thousands and thousands of tiny purple bells are all blooming so beautifully. And even more dandelions! It was like walking into a dream.

I learnt some interesting bluebell facts yesterday, which I feel everyone should know so we can continue to protect and enjoy our beautiful British bluebells.

Bluebells are protected by the wildlife and country act 1981, which makes it illegal to purposely pick or destroy them. It takes 5-7 years for a single seed to develop into a bulb, and if a flower is picked, it can take yeeeearrrs for the single bulb to grow a flower again. Every part of the bluebells is poisonous to humans, dogs, horses, and cows. It's also said that ringing the bells could summon fairies, but if you ever heard it, it could mean death.

Native British bluebells have been carpeting our woodlands for over 400 years. Let's make sure they can be enjoyed for another 400 and even more.

What a week!!

It's been wonderful getting back into the swing of things again this week.

Cutting, printing, planning, gardening, adventuring, and simple pottering about. Simply perfect.

The garden is blooming and the studio is a mess but it's great to see hard work coming together!

Ready to round the week off with a day in the gardens. Here's to a wonderful week.

Handmade, hand dyed and printed in small batches. Another small batch is heading to the print table today. ✨️🌙🍄

".... and showed me "Malta" or somewhere"

I've been a little quieter here...
Life, traveling and slow spring days with the children.

Behind the scenes, I've been prepping and planning for what's to come this summer.

The summer solstice fayre at the Gibraltar gardens, norwich. I'll be there with lots of wonderful magical goodies and sharing a folktale or 2.

For now though I'm easing myself back into making... slowly.
