The Giggly Goat The Giggly Goat is a Contemporary Crafts Gallery. It is the place to find beautiful handmade products The Giggly Goat opened in March 2014.

We are so pleased to be part of the Norwich Lanes and to be showcasing a wonderful array of handmade loveliness. These include ceramics, glass, paintings, prints, greetings cards and jewellery. All of which are made in the UK by independent designer/makers. Come in and be inspired by all the beautiful things!

An introduction to the face behind The Giggly Goat:
Hey, I'm Helen, the owner of the gallery.

In 2014 & in my late twenties I started my business on Lower Goat Lane; with a big leap of faith & a tonne of support from my family. My background is a creative one with a degree in Fashion Knitwear Design & a creative parent - my Mum is a potter. I always wanted to follow a creative path but was unsure of how until I took on the gallery.

My favourite part of my job is being surrounded by beautiful handmade products & curating the space. My least favourite part is the endless admin!

Fast-forward 12 years, my team has expanded enabling me to look after our two young children most of the time & manage the gallery part-time. It is a big juggle & sometimes it feels like a lot. In saying that, I feel lucky to be my own boss & to have been given that opportunity when I was floundering!

Walk with me to the Gallery.

As I walk between St Stephens Street & Lower Goat Lane, I see so many beautiful flowers 🌸🌼🌷
Walking with my youngest daughter slows me down & we notice the details, which in this case are all the flowers. We look at the colours, the petals & see how they smell!

My love for florals & botanicals can be seen in the gallery too - on the shutters & desk that I painted murals on, as well as in many of the products too.

A GLIMPSE OF HISTORY: We love our location in the historic Norwich Lanes & discovering snippets of the buildings past occupants.

The last time we redecorated the shop front, we uncovered this beautiful gold lettering. We have since found out a bit about Oswald Sebley - a Jewellers and Watchmakers in the 1950s-1970s. It was such an exciting discovery and of course we had to leave it visible as a nod to the buildings history.

Once you're inside the gallery, you will notice an original safe. Installed originally for the safekeeping of money and now we use it for storage!
