Jon has been a familiar face here at NSF for over a decade, bringing his brilliant mix of science, storytelling and music to our fab audiences. We’re so pleased to have Jon as one of our Patrons - and even more pleased that he’s looking forward to joining us again in 2027!

As Jon puts it:

"It's always a pleasure returning to Norwich and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the Festival as well as meeting many of the wonderful people of Norwich. Very much looking forward to next year too, as I know there are some awesome additions to the set up. Watch this space!"

What could you help power? 💡

As a sponsor of Norwich Science Festival, your organisation can help power inspiring talks, hands-on experiences, learning programmes for schools and more - helping make science accessible and affordable for our amazing audiences across Norwich and Norfolk.

In 2026, more than 35% of Festival events were free to attend, and more than 14% of our programme was low cost (£6 or under). We couldn’t do this without the generous support of our sponsors and partners.

We'd like to thank all of the amazing exhibitors, staff and the brilliant families who came along, Future Projects for supplying refreshments, and to our funder Norwich Consolidated Charities for making it possible. Thanks to for these wonderful photos!

A little good news for your feed, just in time for

🐴 Dartmoor hill ponies have been given a lifeline, with the government confirming they will be protected after fears new grazing rules could have led to 90% being removed from the moor.

🦫 Water voles have been brought back to North Devon for the first time in 25 years, following a major habitat restoration project by the National Trust to restore wetlands and improve river habitats.

💚 Over 350 threatened species in England are set to receive vital support through a record £90 million government investment, funding 130 projects to help protect endangered plants, animals and fungi.

🦫 A beaver reintroduction project has helped solve a decades-long flooding problem at Greenford Tube station in west London. Introduced in 2023, the beavers’ natural dams have not only slowed the water flow but provided new habitats for wildlife.

🦅 Once on the brink of extinction, South Asia’s vultures are now at the heart of one of the world’s biggest conservation success stories. Twenty years of action to ban a deadly veterinary drug, protect habitats and breed vultures in captivity have helped populations finally stabilise.
