The Sovereign Quarter Horses team are excited to share the news that we will be attending this year on the 24th & 25th June for Western Riding Demonstrations in the Countryside Ring (Times TBC)
Sovereign Quarter Horses' demonstrations are always fascinating to watch, great fun and very educational. Our aim is to introduce as many people to Western Riding and the American Quarter Horse as possible.
We cover the basic fundamentals of Western Riding and how the Western Horse is trained to navigate everyday ranch life, through to showing off the complex manoeuvres we teach our horses for modern day competition, while explaining the history of where the Western Riding we know today - the clothing, tack and competition - came from, and why.
There is of course always some time at the end to answer audience questions and have a chat, not forgetting the chance to meet the incredible horses we are riding.
The horses we use in our demonstrations are always our competition horses who are highly trained and love showing off for a crowd!
