Also please perform 1 minute of any song acapella, we've had people sing twinkle twinkle little star before, so don't take it too seriously.
If you're applying for crew, come to the auditions same time and same place, just have a quick interview with us instead

Hi! Reminder that casting emails have been sent out and our first rehearsal is next week, Thursday the 8th, and is for meeting the cast and a table read of act 1! It is in Julian Study Centre at 7pm or there is an option to join by video call! We hope to see you all there :)

A good opportunity for anyone in Panto Society who would like to be involved in other productions before the main panto of the year! UEA Drama Society will be putting on a small-scale musical during Week 9. There will be many roles to fill whether you want to act, sing or be a member of the tech team. Fill out the proposal form if you have any shows you’d like to put on or be a part of and make sure to join the UEA Drama and Musical Theatre Society page if you’re interested!

Hey everyone!! So we've had to change the way we run things at panto this year to keep in line with covid guidance, and here are those changes plus some important info!!

GENERAL: We've set up a discord server this year, so we can keep everyone up to date with what's happening and host/organise socials. The link to join is https://discord.gg/9JG2x9m, please do so! This is super important for auditioning, as some of the finer details e.g. character summaries are gonna be put on the discord.

AUDITIONS: these will be held on the evenings of Wed 30th Sept and Thurs 1st Oct, with the Wednesday auditions being held in a lecture hall (hopefully!) and Thursday ones over video chat. To sign up for rehearsals, please put your name in our sign up sheet (here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HyxVmCrKAJ6e7livCvgC58wp_UFiNuOQblTreoek_50/edit?usp=drivesdk) to book a time slot, and you'll be emailed script extracts. Please also prepare a short song - anything will do! If anything drastic changes, we will be sure to email you.

REHEARSALS: These will be held in small groups if government restrictions allow, and we'll be using the discord server to keep you all updated with who we need at each rehearsal. Please only come if you're called to, to keep us within guidelines! Don't worry if you're a stagehand or have a smaller part - we'll be hosting workshops, prop days etc as well as lots of online socials to keep us all busy!! Rehearsals are Thursday evenings 7-10pm and Sundays around 11-4pm.

So that's it for now!! Please message us if you have any questions about anything. Even with distancing, we know we can still put on an amazing show this year, and we hope you'll join us! :)

Calling all pantomime lovers and newcomers! UEA Panto Society is an amateur dramatics group with a focus on the zany slapstick entertainment expected of pantomimes. Whether you are a pantomime veteran or completely new to the concept, all are welcome at PantoSoc.

For those who do not want to try their hand at acting, never fear! Those interested in script writing, production, directing, choreography, costume, set design, tech, music and other behind the scenes roles are needed in order to make any show a success.
