Wherry Woodturners are a new Woodturning Club located at the heart of the Norfolk Broads being launched ready for 2022! We were founded by a group of five Woodturners who wanted to develop a new approach, enabling growth in an inclusive environment, assisting the learning and development of skills whilst contributing to the local community. orfolk registered as a Charity and affiliating with the Association of Woodturners of GB (AWGB)

We welcome all levels and ages of woodturner, from those thinking about their first lathe, to the professional artisans amongst us. An exciting programme of events is planned for the new year with demonstrations, workshop days, tuition and public displays. A look inside the Wherry Woodturners Marquee at the Wherry Maud Artists and Craft fair at Ranworth Village Hall, full of amazing turned and crafted items. At the back, shelves were full of Maud wood items in all shapes and sizes, from Clocks to keyrings and much more. Wherry Maud Trust - Charity No. 1161285.

The Wherry Maud Trust - Charity No. 1161285. Craft fair at Ranworth Village Hall on the 3rd and 4th May from 10 till 5, featuring lots of local Artists and Artisans. We are the The Wherry Woodturners who have turned and lasered the original Maud wood into beautiful pieces to treasure.

Simon Hope turning the pewter that he poured into a mould at the demonstration, this was then scored with the mini grinder.

Simon Hope at South Walsham Village Hall demonstrating turning modern Pewter that he melted on the stove into a wooden mould. He used a mini grinder to mark the pewter ring held on lathe with a set of long jaws. Safety is paramount with this technique of pouring liquid pewter, and a full face visor is essential.
