Wherry Woodturners are a Woodturning Club in the Norfolk Broads, Training nights & Demonstrations at South Walsham Village Hall, NR13 6DZ

Wherry Woodturners are a new Woodturning Club located at the heart of the Norfolk Broads being launched ready for 2022! We were founded by a group of five Woodturners who wanted to develop a new approach, enabling growth in an inclusive environment, assisting the learning and development of skills whilst contributing to the local community. orfolk registered as a Charity and affiliating with the Association of Woodturners of GB (AWGB)

We welcome all levels and ages of woodturner, from those thinking about their first lathe, to the professional artisans amongst us. An exciting programme of events is planned for the new year with demonstrations, workshop days, tuition and public displays. Just a few of the wibbly wobbly items from last night, including Xmas trees, w**d pots and ducks..whilst sitting in " La Paget a la Yarmouth " few more to come including moving Blackbirds Wrens and Robins.... Lovely tabletop display... Well done Dave for being front of house... even turned a Star on the Xmas tree... which I missed!!

Looking forward to a bit of eccentric woodturning on Wednesday night at South Walsham Village Hall, here are a few ideas off Pinterest and of course Paul and Daves Giraffe (to be added) ...that are all done Off Centre with various chucks, holding methods and home made jigs... Look forward to seeing you there .. (updating more pics...including my off centre Pendant jig .)

We have had Emma Cook cancel due to food poisoning , Dave Guymer the sheep, giraffe maker and all things fun... will be taking over the demonstration...This will be a fun night, lots of humour ..a raffle and small shop...We all hope Emma Cook The Tiny Turner gets better soon ...from all of us ..

We are waiting to have a Return date for the Sparkling Glittering Gonk Queen ..AKA Emma Cook who was ill the inight she was Demonstrating ( Hope she is better now) The Tiny Turner to South Walsham Village Hall on the 15th July at 7pm, This will be a colourful night, without a doubt one of the Demos you wont want to miss. .Even if it turns out England are playing!! (We will get a screen in if that does happen for the die hards...ha ha ) There will be a Shop full of Goodies..cards Cash..and Norfolk Sheckles ... refreshments included and a good ole Mardle.. bring your pieces for the tabletop..whatever you have made ..whether it was twenty years ago or two days ago... we want to see it please...!
