🚸🎒 STARTING SCHOOL 🎒🚸

To those little customers, around 4/5, that beg their parents to bring them back to Little City. Those that come with set intentions of what, how and where they are going play today. Those that are still shy of me after all these months, but still love coming to play. I'm going to miss you all! 😭 But you have totally got this! Go learn, and explore and grow (more) at school... 🚸🎒 then remind your parents that Little City has weekend and holiday sessions that you can go to 😉

And parents, all I can say is deep breaths, pack a couple of tissues and take a CRUNCHY snack for when you pick them up! You've got this. 🫂

🍎 SCHOOL READINESS THROUGH PLAY 🍎

LITTLE CITY POST OFFICE 📮

Children love recreating familiar experiences like posting letters, buying stamps, serving customers, and delivering parcels - helping them make sense of everyday life while building important school readiness skills.

Role play in the Little City Post Office supports:
💬 Use and development of new vocabulary linked to letters, parcels, addresses, stamps, and
deliveries while talking and playing with others.
🔤 Recognising letters in addresses supports early reading skills — can your child spot the first
letter of their name in the post?
⚖️ Weighing parcels, sorting letters by colour, and using numbers all support early maths development.
🌍 Role play helps children understand community roles and how people communicate in real life.

What can you do at home…
📦 Create your own post office using envelopes, boxes, and pretend stamps
✏️ Encourage your child to write or draw letters and “post” them around the house
👀 Look for letters in names on real letters and packages together

I had so much fun last weekend at our Superhero special and it was so good to see the friendly neighbour spider drop in to do some superhero training inbetween fighting crimes and catching bad guys. Thank you

Planning for our next themes are well underway 👨‍🚀🚀👽...🎃👻🧙‍♀️... this job is so much fun ❤️🤣

🏖 LAST OF THE SUMMER 🏖

The kids go back to school next week!!!! 🤯 Is it me of have these 6 weeks gone so fast?
