From Far Far Away to 1920s New York!

We’re delighted to announce that VCL Productions’ Summer Youth Project returns in 2027 with…

🎭 GUYS AND DOLLS JR. 🎭

This one is particularly special for Alistair, our Summer Youth Project Coordinator, who performed Guys and Dolls in his own local Summer Youth Project when he was just 10 years old. Now he gets to introduce a new generation of young performers to this brilliant musical!

Siena, Ryan, Jenine and the team are excited to return for another year — and who doesn’t love a bit of period drama, comedy and romance?!

With shows such as The Great Gatsby bringing the glamour and style of the era back to the stage, Guys and Dolls Jr. gives our company the chance to explore a fantastic world of colourful characters, big Broadway numbers, singing, acting and dance.

🎭 7 days ago, the curtain came down on our Summer Youth Project 2026! 💚

And just like that, two incredible weeks of rehearsals, laughter, friendships and theatre came to an end.

The last picture captures our cast and creatives together on stage for the final time, just moments before we said our goodbyes. 🥹

What a brilliant group of young people and what a Summer Youth Project to remember.

🎭 SERIOUS ABOUT ACTING? THIS IS YOUR NEXT STEP

This September, VCL Encore launches in Northampton – a new performance company for ambitious actors aged 13–18 who want to develop their craft, work on challenging contemporary material and gain experience of a professional rehearsal and production process.

Our first company will take part in National Theatre Connections 2027, rehearsing towards a performance at Royal & Derngate, Northampton.

Across 50 hours of contact time, performers will develop acting technique, character, movement, ensemble work and the discipline of taking a production from first rehearsal to performance.

Tomorrow is show day our young performers have worked so hard during their technical dress rehearsals today the team@are still busy making sure all in order for our first audiences tomorrow - See you in Duloc!

Another great day of rehearsals, piecing the show together in the theatre! Today we officially have completed blocking everything, just like onion so many layers to creating a piece of theatre this afternoon we looked at transitions between scenes

We have arrived VCL are in the building it’s week two and we are on stage our first run in the space

Our young performers are home resting for the weekend before we move to on Monday for week two of our Summer Youth Project days four and five we’re amazing we have achieved so much in just 5 days one scene yet to finish and we can add all our technical elements costumes lighting and sound designs! A massive thank you to .spaces for our week one rehearsal space
