The Mayhew School of Dance & Performing Arts has been providing outstanding training in the performing arts since 1941. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable school with high standards and an outstanding teaching faculty. Dance classes are available for all ages and abilities in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Classical Greek, National, Contemporary, Street, Jazz & Commercial as well as sup

plementary conditioning classes. We also run dedicated classes for preschool children. The Mayhew School is one of the longest established dance schools in Northampton. Since its inception, it has been responsible for training and producing dancers of the highest calibre. Past pupils have gone on to work as dancers, teachers and examiners for many of the worlds leading classical companies and dance organisations. The school was founded in 1941 by Miss Mollie Mayhew, initially with just five pupils. At the Mayhew School of Dance & Performing Arts, we teach a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities. Our tuition ranges from teaching complete beginners to professional private tuition for those who are wishing to take examinations or compete. Pupils are entered for RAD & ISTD examinations at all levels from Primary to Advanced 2.

An emotional final day of Northampton Festival with so many of our seniors completing their last festival. From first steps in the Baby section through Juniors, Inters and as inspiring Seniors, our girls have always represented the school so beautifully. We have all so enjoyed watching them grow, learn, experiment and become such wonderful performers, and I especially, am very proud of each and every one of you.

Many congratulations to Mesha on winning the festival bursary and to Piper as runner up.

Thank you to Caroline and all the committee for giving their time so generously to ensure a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for each performer. Congratulations to all competing schools on their fabulous performances across the festival, with special thanks for always being there to lend a spare tap shoe or pin up a hem! 😉

Congratulations to Florence, Elsie & Leo who have all been accepted into the Senior Associate programme of the Royal Ballet School.

Such a fantastic achievement and a great reward for the hard work these three young dancers put in to their training week after week. They will join our existing Senior Associates, Doris & Bella, at the London Centre from September.
