Enrolling now for students in year 11 & 12 for DDE modern and Tap.
This is a level 4 qualification and all units are taught exclusively at our training centre based at Northampton high school.

The course director Miss Katherine Werrell is a fellow in Modern and Tap and an examiner for the ISTD in modern and is on the ISTD tap committee. She has a wealth of knowledge and an excellent understanding of teaching methodology.
And 100% pass rate !!

I just love when you meet ex students who attended the academy right from day 1.
These identical twins were so much fun to teach and tricked me by swopping over to play the other twin in classes.

Wonderful to see how much they have grown and are such brilliant young ladies.

SLA is a family and we always welcome back our students and love to hear their stories!

we are based at Northampton high school and are are lucky to have 5 stunning studio spaces to dance in !

Classes offered from 3 years to adults.
RAD ballet ISTD modern tap contemporary, also acro lyrical commercial dance musical theatre and adult tap.

We are a DDE training centre offering level 4 teaching qualifications in modern and tap.

Sunday vibes when you see one of your former students perform in his band !
Totally amazing afternoon
Pure genius are a band definitely worth watching and of course our Jack was just brilliant !!
What a voice !!!!!!!

We had miss Katherine on FaceTime too so she could watch Jack in action.

Today marks our last day at AED National finals in Eastbourne and what a superb ending!!
Early start but it was very worth it watching each section.
It was a morning for narrative character duets in senior and inter and senior large groups.

The standard was insane and we thoroughly enjoyed each dance, everyone looked amazing !

The absolute winners of the day were poppy and emily who performed incredibly bringing my idea to life with such a powerful performance.
They were in sync and supported each other and ……

They were runner up national champions out of a very strong section of 14 and very talented dancers. Only winner and runner up are announced in the duets so this is a huge achievement!!!

When they finished the dance the audience went quiet for a few moments which just shows how their performance affected our emotions.

We are all super proud of you and what a high to finish on !!!

What a beautiful performance from Evie today at the AED national finals.
Her contemporary solo which was all her own work was breathtaking and in such a strong section !
What a pleasure it was to watch !

It was also a fitting end for Evie to perform her last dance at SLA before she heads off to Trinity Laban in September. It was a privilege to watch her in the audience.

I’m so proud of her journey from that little 3 year old all those years ago who wouldn’t stop talking ( nothings changed there!) to the incredible talent we see today.

The standard was excellent and you danced the best I’ve ever seen.
