Bored Marsh are one of Nottingham’s most exciting emerging bands, and we’re buzzing to bring them to Leicester this summer!☀️

Blending post-punk, shoegaze, grunge and new wave influences, their sound combines reverb-drenched atmospheres, soaring harmonies and darker, heavier moments, drawing comparisons to Interpol, Radiohead and Editors.

Since debuting live in 2022, they’ve earned support from BBC Radio, Under The Radar, Louder Than War and God Is In The TV, while standout festival appearances, sold-out shows and growing acclaim have marked them out as a band on the rise.

Fresh from the release of their debut mini-album ‘Auralux’, Belfast shoegaze outfit Silk are bringing their immersive live show to The Lab this June.

The highly anticipated six-track release is the work of songwriter and guitarist Michael Smyth, formerly of the acclaimed Irish band ‘Virgins’. As the sole writer, performer and recording artist behind Silk, Auralux is a deeply personal project, shaped entirely by Smyth’s vision.

“There is no beauty in perfection; it feels fake and manufactured to me,” says Michael. “I want the record to feel real, so this is the sound of visceral self-expression.”

Following a string of successful singles throughout 2025 and appearances across Ireland - including performances at GazeFest alongside Whitelands and Sweet Sweet Noise - Silk have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in Irish shoegaze.

Lead single ‘Clementine’ saw the project venture into darker, more abrasive territory, embracing layers of texture, distortion and intensity. Across ‘Auralux’, shimmering, euphoric guitars collide with crushing walls of fuzz, while cascading reverbs and dreamlike atmospherics create a vast and immersive soundscape.

Lyrically, the record explores themes of memory, mortality, love, loss and the passage of time. Equal parts introspective and overwhelming, ‘Auralux’ is a cathartic journey delivered through volume, atmosphere and emotion.

We’ve got TWO epic nights of The Cutter this May!

The electronic four-piece from Manchester were formed through a shared connection across the city’s thriving music scene. Originally involved in separate projects, the band came together over a mutual love of darker electronic sounds, quickly shaping a style that feels both atmospheric and emotionally charged.

Drawing comparisons to New Order and Cocteau Twins, their sound weaves together elements of goth, electronica, and shoegaze - balancing driving rhythms with shimmering textures and haunting melodies.

Having already made a strong impression in Northampton last year with standout support slots for Nightbus at The Black Prince and litesleeper at The Lab, The Cutter return this time to take centre stage.

🇫🇷French shoegaze risers Midscale are hitting the road this May!

In just a few years, the Paris quartet have carved out their own lane - pushing beyond shoegaze’s usual boundaries with a sound that’s as dreamy as it is explosive. Since their 2022 debut EP and 2024 album Movements, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Foxing, The Telescopes, Pale Blue Eyes, GIFT, and even Explosions In The Sky at the iconic Bataclan in Paris.

With multiple UK runs already under their belt and standout appearances in New York and Rotterdam this year, their momentum is undeniable.
