I honestly thought this was a spoof when it started. Completely bonkers, ridiculously gory and looking more like a university film project than a cinema release. Some creative kills, but wow, this was so bad and probably the worst film of the year.

A huge, great thank you to Arc Cinema Daventry for showing this one. This is the one place you can get cool in the summer without the need for ice cream.

Not being a superhero fan, I really enjoyed this one. Maybe it was the almost back-to-basics feeling of starting again, or the way it focuses more on character and story than endless CGI spectacle, but I thought it was well worth a watch.
