Singing starts on Tuesday 8 September with an Open Rehearsal. Come along and try us out. We will be rehearsing music for our November Britten 50th Anniversary Concert.

Thank you to all our audience members for supporting us at our Summer Concert last evening.

It was a lovely occasion marking the end of this season.

Also a big thank you to our soloists Jonathan Kingston on organ and piano and Christina Alishaw on flute. And last but not least our brilliant Music Director Tom Moore.

The programme will include a performance of The Sprig of Thyme, which is a collection of eleven traditional folk songs from the British Isles arranged by Rutter, along with a selection of his anthems. Other works by Rutter that are featured are Toccato in Seven and Elegy, both for organ, and Suite Antique for flute and piano.

It should be a wonderful summer evening of music.

Northampton Philharmonic Choir would like to invite applications for the Rosemary Harrison Choral Scholarship, our choral scholarship programme entering its second year from September 2026. The scholarship will run for one academic year and for this season we are looking to appoint two choral scholars and invite applications from all voice parts.

The scholarships are open to singers aged between 18 and 25. It is ideal for aspiring professional singers wishing to develop their choral singing and musicianship skills whilst broadening their repertoire.

Choir rehearses on a Tuesday evening during term-time, approximately 38 rehearsals per season, at St Michael's Church, Perry Street, Northampton, NN1 4HL from 19:15 to 21:15.
