🎉…And the winner of the North Shields Midsummer Fayre ‘Guess the number of peanuts in the bird feeder' competition is🎉… Cathy Hyde of North Shields. Well done Cathy!
The answer was 1018 and Cathy guessed 1022.
The prize is a bird feeder, bird nesting box, bug hotel and some wild bird food.🐦‍⬛🐝 Hope the visitors to your garden love them Cathy, please send us some photos if you have time.

The Midsummer Fayre yesterday was amazing. Thank you to everyone, the team, stall holders, workshop leaders and visitors who made it such a special day. The atmosphere was incredible.

Inspired by our visit to the Rebel Women of Sunderland exhibition the ambassadors from our I.N.I.T.I.A.T.E group are developing a project to recognise and celebrate people (past and present) from the North Shields community who have inspired them or haven't had the recognition they deserve. Why not try your luck on our plant tombola? We have been given some beautiful plants – just pick a ticket ending in 0 or 5 and choose a plant. We’ve also got a competition to win a lovely garden set with a bird feeder, bird box, bug hotel and some bird food. The question is easy but you’ll need to be there on Sunday to find out what it is 😄
