Once we had a wild home, all fresh among the trees,
We foraged for the forest fruits, and supped the sap of bees.
🌳
We revelled in our beastly dance, a-whirling round and round,
Until the smoke-belch clank-jaws came,
And raised it to the ground.
🌳
So now we have to leave our home, swap tarmac for the earth,
To speak up for the wild place, and show you what it's worth.
Hear the music of your roots, the haunting song of plants,
We're coming to the place you live, to teach YOU how to dance
